SomewhereSomewhere there's a place,
a lonely forgotten hideaway,
where broken shards and pieces
can hide themselves in shame......
Circle of FourGrowing leaves and flower buds,
The world basks in green.
The wind will blow, the plants will grow,
Then Summer comes again.
Yes, Summer comes again....
i dream in blue,
as a quiet, flowing arctic sea
leaching upward into the frozen ice
a stain of sky in liquid hues
fallen from above to rest in peace
beneath the cold cloud canopy....
We’re living in a world of dreams,
Escaping from our fears.
It’s set apart, within the heart,
Where no one else appears....
Speak to MeEven lost in the blue gray ocean,
Let me hear the whisper of waves.
Speak to me with the voice of nature.
Whenever I hear you speak, all I hear is echoes....
Entrances and ExitsEntrances and exits are the greatest reality.
This is a world of doors and openings,
some shut, some closed,
but each with something unknown behind....
The Story of SummerOrange leaves blow down the street,
Tattered, but free,
Like pages from a book
Each tells part of the story
that was summer.....
SometimesSometimes my soul is inconsolable,
and my heart is the shattered shell
of an egg that fell from the nest.....
ClockworkClockwork sun, and clockwork moon,
You have your paths to take.
And on this earth,
This clockwork earth,
We follow in your wake....
Released ForevermoreIf words were free to leave the page,
Like butterflies they’d soar.
With flapping wings they’d take to flight
Released forevermore....
EarthboundEach snowflake drifts downward, like a feather from the sky,
To soon to be earthbound among its fallen friends.
Who can notice each snowflake that falls?
Come to the SunI shine upon the world,
In flaming glory I warm the earth,
In the coming of spring,
In the bloom of a flower.
Come to the sun my children,
There is no need to be cold....
Heart of StoneYesterday I finally found my heart:
a dry dusty stone that no one else saw,
lying at the edge of a busy road,
kicked off among the dying weeds....
A Flower of LoveOnce I thought that our love
Would bloom like a flower,
Unfurling like a leaf from its bud,
After the harsh winter months.
And our love was like a flower,
Opening in the spring,
With gaily painted colors....
ExperiencePaper-thin skin,
like parchment paper,
yellowed by the years.
If I could read your scars,
I would see your life story,
carved into your skin....
MasksEmpty soul and desperate smile,
The subtlest disguise.
It hides the pain, withstands the rain,
This mask that I call Joy....
PatientLaying in this narrow hospital bed,
Staring at the ceiling for hour after hour,
Measuring the time until the next dose
Of painkiller....
Winter NightOn a cold, clear night, the sky is an ink black expanse,
Where the stars twinkle like snowflakes caught in time...
A Mother's LoveBury me deep,
in the dark virgin earth,
where nothing bloomed before.
No headstone as a monument,
to the life that came and went in obscurity....
Pictures of LifeStanding at the edge of humanity,
I am a silent observer,
Who watches all that others overlook.
Are you one of those passing people?
Warmth Amidst the ColdWhen winter comes upon the world,
and spreads its snow white cape,
Then cold will stalk among the trees,
a frigid, lonely shape....
An Electric BeingMy life is twists and turns,
the hairpin curves of a mountain switchback road.
Thoughts, ingredients, elements,
shunted like train cars,
back and forth,
in the great echoing steel junction...
